Managed Indoor access Point
few week ago I received this package it contained main access point and also a power injector. EnGenius has a lot of products , they developed they own managing platform .about that later …
lets talk about the AP or access point . model number is : EWS357 it has 2×2 MU MIMO at 2.4 and 5GHz. first look and touch was amazing … minimalist look from front only 4 LED indicators and small EnGenius logo . and strong alloy backplate with wall mounting option and DC in of 12V along with resset button and LAN (PoE) connector. must say it has great design!
to power up this AP you will need eternal barrel plug or Power Injector over ethernet cable… that DC input is nice add if you don’t have PoE or PoE switch. how ever I got an power injector from EnGenius so I went ahed and connected not included ethernet cable to the PoE adapter and to the AP . now We need a internet …. as AP is not router you will need to connect it to the router to be able get internet connection.
EnGenius EWS357AP will boot up within minute and its ready to blast WIFI around . to setup ap simply type in to the browser IP address 192.168.1.1 and follow the setup steps. to be clear the username is : admin and password is : admin once you set all you want change username and password to protect your AP.
