Let’s start with design , as most EnGenius products the design of EnGenius ESR580 is simple cylinder like pure white device with their logo on the middle and status LED bellow . This is visible for everyone …not much has changed. On back side thats different story ! ESR580 has DC in ,WAN,LAN ports and USB 3.0 to attach external ssd or simply just usb stick and start using EnFile personal cloud storage .

I received 2pack two of the EnGenius ESR580 with accessories . Packaging is standard eco friendly with minimal plastic. You are ready to start using it once you download EnMesh app available for IOS and android . app will guide you on how to set up device step by step very clever ! Setup process takes around 2-5 minutes . After that you ready to surf with amazing speeds and performance! EnGenius ESR580 using omnidirectional antennas with range up to 200m in open space .

Finally I can share some drawbacks …. this product is targeted for normal users so it lacks POE or power over ethernet – it means that along with ethernet cable you have to run power in (with provided power plug and cable) second thing if so I would like to see some buttons like reset and WPN to quickly access . Power cable is off white and kind a looks like from 1980 haha but it is new!
