Selens Variable ND filter for Camera (sunglasses for DJI Phantom4)

I got my DJI Drone and it was amazing !

smart features and easy control unbelievable ! I come from drone sphere where we used no gps or positions sensors to keep drone on place so for me is it absolutely steady hovering and flying.

when I fly with my Phantom it was ok but I constantly overexposes sky or reflection of sky in lakes or windows it was hard to choose right angle to keep nice picture … even when I did my best the camera shutter speed was bump up to thousands of a second ! not good video look.

and after little bit of research I found this ND filter for my Phantom,

small and well build from alloy and it is variable from ND2-ND400

first impression was good then I unscrew original uv filter from phantom camera and straight screw new ND filter on. it is lite bit from heavy on gimbal but gimbal is working ok and after few weeks of using it I had no problems with gimbal. however the nd filter is easy to overspin and get some artefacts from it … and I come out with great hack ! hack is in video please check it here!

when I power up drone and controller I point drone to the open space (I trying to point it to the brightest part) around me and whit my video settings 4K at 30fps I set shutter speed to 60 and by spinning from part of nd filter I setup picture just bit underexpose (once drone take off exposure will be correct- just because up in air are no object covering sun or and source of light)

overall great product! but I using standard dji carry case whit dji gimbal and camera protector…and there is problem because new nd filter is longer than original uv the gimbal/camera protector will not fit ! few couple times I simply change filters but is it time-consuming and any piece of dust can land on lens from inside…
