Recently I got this gimbal from DJI it is a Ronin S handheld gimbal with amazing load capacity of 3.6KG !
…and after downloading app for my iPhone I was notified by app about new firmware for Ronin ! So I went ahead and created tis post and recorded tutorial on YouTube.
Lets start with connecting it to the PC I used provided USB typeC cable but Im sure any USB typeC will work fine! On back of the Gimbal is USB port for charging, powering it up externally and mentioned firmware update .
Great ! next step is opening DJI Assistant for RONIN… Assistant will detect connected ronin automatically and you should see icon saying RoninS go ahead and click on it! few seconds later you should see firmware list like so :
latest firmware is version 2.2.1.10 . Simply click UPGRADE and than UPDATE … app will ask you if you have internet connection , ronin is connected to the pc and powered up… then it will start update process .
it can take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes depending on you r internet connection . And now enjoy new features such as Active Track Pro and Force Mobile with your DJI Ronin PRO.
