This PDF file is perfect template for Steam Decks back cover! (for LCD, OLED Steam Decks), It will help you to drill perfect hole pattern to allow fresh air to enter cooling fan intake and in same time it keeps case airflow to protect and cool down other crucial components ( this is achieved by precise calculations of newly drilled holes area that is smaller than area of fan intake).
PDF file contains two separate templates : one for original Steam Deck cover (one with VALVe logo on top of the fan area) and second for aftermarket Steam Deck cover (with no logos on top of fan area).

Print out pdf document and measure 32mm (little scale located bellow each template) – if it is correct size…you good to go! Cut out template you need and stick in on removed Steam Decks cover with masking tape (two aligning marks are suppose to align with two centre top screw holes! Grub drill and 2mm drill bit and drill holes…. then tapper sharp edges with larger (preferably 3mm or 4mm drill bit – just carefully ! do not drill trough).
